The text does not!
Matthew describes magi from the east, but never gives a number, and says they visit Jesus in a house, not a stable.
Luke’s birth scene features shepherds, not magi. The “three” comes later because three gifts are listed, and tradition turned an inference into a certainty.
That sounds harmless until you notice the pattern: once a story gets repeated with confidence, it becomes “what the Bible says,” even when it is not in the Bible.

Rather than Ai searches or cellular usage or trusting someone because “they have a certain name”.  Open a Bible yourself and add to it commentaries.
There are thousands of lies that people created,  even humpty dumpty was never called an egg!
