Jesus did not condemn Judas with cruelty.
He did not humiliate Caiaphas, the high priest. He offered mercy even to the repentant thief beside Him on the cross
Jesus does not teach His followers to expose, shame, or destroy others. He teaches us: “Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.”
When someone brings up a sin, failure, or private not because it is relevant to present safety, or healing, but simply to gossip, discredit, or to wound: that is not godly correction
It is hypocrisy
And when we claim the name of God while refusing to live by Christ’s mercy, love, and truth, we risk taking His name in vain
We cannot speak of grace while denying it to others. We cannot celebrate forgiveness for ourselves while weaponizing another person’s past
There are many people whose lives I knew nothing about and I do not need to know. What matters is who they are now, what fruit their life bears now, and where they are going from here
If an old matter is not pertinent; if it is not dangerous, life altering, or necessary for protection, then resurrecting it only to injure someone is not righteousness. It is gossip. It is a tool of accusation. It stunts growth and sows tares among the wheat
True Christians should be different. We should tell the truth, yes, but with humility, mercy, and the same grace we hope to receive from God
